  • Prunus Genolia foliagePrunus-Genolia-for-web
Available in a 4-5 litre pot. Height currently around 40-50cm high. IMPORTANT CONSIDERATION: We don’t believe the height of our hedging plants to be of huge importance when we make them available for sale. In fact we trim all of our hedging plants several times a year to promote a bushy plant, that will be ready to form a decent hedge right away. Height isn’t everything – while a 2 litre plant could easily be 1m tall without trimming, this ‘leggy’ specimen wouldn’t be the kind of plant that you want for a hedge. A trimmed one with multiple shoots, will establish as a hedge much more quickly, and we therefore believe shape and bushiness to be real signs of quality, rather than current plant height.
A per plant discount is available for bulk purchases of Prunus laurocerasus Genolia hedging plants. This discount will be applied in your basket if applicable (begins at 10+ plants).

  • Griselinia-Redge

    Griselinia Redge

    £7.95£10.95
Available in a 2 litre pot and a 5 litre pot. Griselinia Redge is an evergreen, compact grower with attractive glossy green leaves, offset by dark coloured leaf stalks and stems. It could be considered more shrubby growing than the standard variety, but also makes a fantastic hedge with its better branching and strong healthy roots, resistant to disease. Slower growing than the standard it grows around 30cm a year, and is therefore a great one for a lower hedge, smaller garden or even container cultivation. It is reported hardy down to around -10°C, and will withstand salt laden winds on the seafront in sheltered or enclosed estuaries like St. Mawes and Falmouth in Cornwall, but in exposed positions will need to be positioned several hundred feet from the sea. For extremely exposed coastal sites like Land’s End, and Lizard Point in Cornwall, we would recommend the tougher Olearia traversii Compacta over Griselinia littoralis Redge, although Griselinia is a super choice for most locations. A per plant discount is available for bulk purchases of Griselinia Redge hedging plants. This discount will be applied in your basket if applicable (begins at 10+ plants).
