    Aloe striatula

    £10.50
Originating from South Africa, the Aloe striatula is a hardy, resilient succulent (1 metre in height and spread) which is tolerant of drought and frost. In early summer this plant produces colourful, orange-yellow flowers which are set off against the stripey light and dark green stems creating a compelling and curious (almost alien like) appeal. Plant in full sun in a very well drained soil with extra grit added when planting. Situate in wall-side borders, rock gardens, gravel gardens or patio containers for best effect. • Pinus radiata foliagePinus radiata hedging plants

    Pinus radiata

    £9.50
Available in a 5 litre pot. Pinus radiata, also known as the Monterey Pine, is a vigorous evergreen conifer that can grow up to 5ft a year in the right conditions. It has dense dark green needles, that fair extremely well in a coastal position, where salt-laden winds are common. They enjoy plenty of daylight and sunshine, in a well drained soil, and planted in multiples can form a quick and robust screen or hedge that can be trimmed to a desired height/shape.
  • Ilex crenata Green Hedge hedging plant

    Ilex crenata Green Hedge

    £7.95£25.00
Ilex crenata Green Hedge is the perfect alternative to Buxus (Box hedging) - looking almost identical to the old favourite, but without falling victim to disease problems such as box blight. Its common name is Japanese Holly, but it doesn't have prickly leaves, it has small dark green (probably slightly darker than Buxus) leaves that help form a neat dense hedge. Another advantage over Buxus is its more robust nature - and ability to grow beyond the common low Box hedge if desired - up to around 1.5m, due to its slightly more vigorous growth habit. A great evergreen option - and also perfect for topiary. Plant in a well drained soil in a sun/part shade position. A per plant discount is available for bulk purchases of Ilex crenata Green Hedge hedging plants. This discount will be applied in your basket if applicable (begins at 10+ plants).
  • Corokia Geenty's Ghost foliageCorokia Geenty's Ghost hedging plant
Available in a 4 litre pot. Corokia Geenty's Ghost is a tough evergreen shrub from New Zealand with silvery grey foliage and small yellow flowers in the spring, which are followed by red-orange berries. It is a great one for coastal planting, withstanding salt-laden winds well, and also makes a cracking hedge in locations prone to wind. Its compact habit means it can be trimmed to a neat  shape, naturally only reaching around 1-2m high and around 1m wide - therefore also making it a great pick for smaller gardens. It thrives in a well drained soil in a sunny, or partially shady position. Feeding with a decent fertiliser during the growing season will encourage the nice dense growth required of the 'perfect hedge'! A per plant discount is available for bulk purchases of Corokia Geentys Ghost hedging plants. This discount will be applied in your basket if applicable (begins at 10+ plants).
  • Euonymus japonicus Microphyllus
The nursery grows thousands of different perennials every year - and they are available at the garden centre in various sizes. One of our most popular sizes is the two litre perennial - a nicely established plant but also a very cost effective buy, and still with plenty of growing on to do. Perfect for a mixed perennial or shrub and perennial border - or perhaps as focal points in pots of summer colour! An example of the selection available includes different varieties of Aquilegia, Campanula, Coreopsis, Gaillardia, Lupinus, Rudbeckia and Salvia. Your three selected 2ltr plants could form any combination and will be chosen based on current availability, but we will aim to supply a mixed selection (unless requested otherwise).
