As a guide: 9cm: currently 50cm high 2 litre: currently 60-70cm high 5 litre: currently 50-70cm high 10 litre: currently 100cm -120cm high 20 litre: currently 110cm-120cm high IMPORTANT CONSIDERATION: A quick grower, we don't find height of griselinia is really such an important factor when considering the quality of the plant. We trim all of our hedging plants several times a year to promote a bushy plant, that will be ready to form a decent hedge right away. Height isn't everything - while a 2 litre plant could easily be 1m tall without trimming, this 'leggy' specimen wouldn't be the kind of plant that you want for a hedge. A trimmed one with multiple shoots, will establish as a hedge much more quickly.
A per plant discount is available for bulk purchases of Griselinia hedging plants. This discount will be applied in your basket if applicable (begins at 10+ plants). For 50 5ltr Griselinia plants check out our Griselinia 5ltr pallet deal to benefit from UK wide FREE DELIVERY.

Similar to the standard Griselinia, but with darker green, glossy leaves, Griselinia Green Horizon is a fast growing evergreen hedging plant, hardy to at least -10°C to -12°C. It will withstand a coastal position and salt laden winds well but as with the standard and other variations of Griselinia, prefers a more sheltered estuary or inlet like St Mawes or Falmouth in Cornwall. In more exposed locations, Griselinia Green Horizon will need to be positioned several hundred feet from the sea, and for extremely exposed coastal sites like Land’s End, and Lizard Point in Cornwall, we would recommend the tougher Olearia hedging types.

    Griselinia Green Jewel

    £10.95£35.00
Currently unavailable online. A more subtle variation in colour than Griselinia Variegata, Griselinia Green Jewel displays bright, glossy green leaves, splashed cream margins, and grey undertones across the leaf. The leaves tend to be slightly more pointed than the rounder leaf of Variegata too. Like the other Griselinia varieties, it tolerates a coastal position and salt laden winds very well, however it prefers more enclosed/sheltered estuaries. Very exposed locations would be better suited to the tougher Elaeagnus or Olearia hedging types. Plants on average supplied at 60-90cm high, but this can vary. A quick grower, we don't find height of griselinia is really such an important factor when considering the quality of the plant. A decent pot size provides a good indication of plant robustness and bushiness, and in fact we will cut our nursery plants down to encourage bushier growth (rather than a 'leggy' plant). if we feel it necessary. A per plant discount is available for bulk purchases of Griselinia Green Jewel hedging plants. This discount will be applied in your basket if applicable (begins at 10+ plants).

  • Dicksonia antarctica tree fern
    Out of Stock
NOT CURRENTLY IN STOCK Available in a range of sizes, from 1ft of trunk right up to 8ft of trunk, and priced per foot - £45 per foot for trunks up to 5ft tall and £50 per foot for trunks 6ft tall and above. Don’t forget the measurement also includes the ‘hidden’ trunk within the pot/beneath the ground so a 4ft trunk tree fern won’t be 4ft of ‘visible trunk’ – but nearer 3ft of visible trunk. Do take this into consideration when thinking about the size that would best suit you and your garden – and the fact that they are slow growing, so will take a great deal of time to reach a ‘desired height’ if you purchase one a way off that height. PLEASE NOTE: Up to 5ft trunks: Are sent on a pallet with fronds intact. These trunks, plus fronds, should arrive in good condition. 6ft trunks: Can be sent with fronds but we cannot guarantee that the fronds will arrive intact. We always do our best to protect them when packing on to the pallet, but transit can sometimes disturb/damage the fronds.  7 - 8ft trunks: Due to height restrictions, these trunks will normally be removed from the pot and fixed to the pallet. They will arrive without fronds due to difficulties keeping them intact during transit. They will usually fall into the category of an 'oversize item', which means carriage will be more expensive - usually the cost of two pallets, and therefore double the carriage charge of trunks up to 6ft in height. Please contact us for specific details.
