Cordyline australis is a robust tall shrub/tree hardy to -10^oC.  It can grow up to 20 metres tall and has a stout trunk and sword-like leaves, which are clustered at the tips of the branches and can be up to 1 metre (3 feet 3 inches) long. With its tall, straight trunk and dense, rounded heads, it has an abundance of creamy white flowers. It’s proven tried and tested varieties withstand coastal conditions very well.
