A belated Happy Jubilee to all! Trevena Cross Nurseries and The Garden Kitchen Cafe welcomed visitors enjoying a relaxing extended Bank Holiday, to the centre over the weekend. While many were in parks and streets enjoying community picnics and parties, those keen to get out in the garden and prepare for further British celebrations this summer, enjoyed a visit to stock up on plants and summer colour for the garden.

Getting out and about in Cornwall over the coming weeks is definetely recommended – with Cornwall entertaining its own share of current and upcoming events. Trevena Cross is currently exhibiting in the Flower Marquee at the Royal Cornwall Show – from today, 7th June, until Saturday 9th June. An unfortunate wet and windy start hasn’t dampened out spirits!

We will also be appearing at the inaugural Garden Truro Festival from Weds 11th – Sat 14th July on Lemon Quay in Truro, designed to engage with all ages and celebrate gardens at this community event.

Plus, the following Monday (16th July) we are also being represented at Stithians Agricultural Show, sponsoring the show ring with plants, and taking up advertising and potentially a trade stand – ‘watch this space’ for more on the show and our part in it, nearer the time…

Fingers crossed the current weather (rain and gales!) isn’t too persistent and we can all finally enjoy getting out and about, and making the most of the summer we all deserve!
