Monday – Saturday 9am – 4pm
Sunday 9.30am – 4pm

Hot food will be served until around an hour before closing time.

Please note, bookings will be taken for parties of eight or more people, (pre-orders may be required), but otherwise tables will be filled on a first come, first served basis.

The Garden Kitchen Cafe will be frequently amending its menu in line with the fresh, local ingredients it is able to source. In recent times it has been very challenging to maintain a permanent, fixed menu. The cafe will therefore adapt and adjust – and provide an up to date menu on a daily basis. Below offers a very good example of the wide range of dishes and options that can usually be found on the menu, and enjoyed on a visit.

The Garden Kitchen Cafe is set in the heart of the tranquil garden centre surrounded by exotic plants and flowers. The staff serve a menu of delicious, locally-sourced, homemade food, prepared by Porthleven local and Cafe Manager, Derek Fox and his team. Arrive early to enjoy breakfast with us, or a little later to sample a delicious home-cooked lunch. Of course, no afternoon visit is complete without tea and cake, or an irresistible Cornish cream tea too! Plus, the surroundings are wonderful whatever the weather. Cosy up in the cafe by the wood burner on a cold winter’s day or soak up some sunshine on the cafe terrace or in the popular undercover seating area surrounded by wonderful plants and colour!

Derek the Chef and Manager is passionate about his cafe. His menu is carefully crafted to offer local people and visitors to Cornwall, delicious food at very reasonable prices in a relaxed environment. He adapts the menu according to feedback he gets from his customers and the ingredients he is able to source at any one time.

There’s always so much to choose from, you won’t be disappointed! The extensive menu includes;

The Cafe also serves an incredible Sunday Roast every Sunday with a carefully chosen meat (usually beef but may vary) or vegetarian nut roast, homemade Yorkshire puddings, sea salt and rosemary roasted potatoes and a selection of roasted and sautéed vegetables.
