WHAT'S NEW
News for July 6 July 2010. As always lots happening here at the garden centre. Graham and Nick recently staged a great exhibit at the local County Show - The Royal Cornwall Show. Not only did they receive a large Gold Medal but they were also awarded the Trelawney Trophy for the best trade exhibit in the flower marquee.
Back on the garden centre we have a fantastic range of perennials coming down from our nursery along with a lovely new selection of unusual trees and shrubs. I really hope to add more of these to the website as and when time allows.
The Garden Kitchen is as always offering daliy specials so make it a day out and pop along and see us.

News for September 2 September 2009. Cornwall is renowned for the use of the word Dreckly - as in when asked to do something to say ''I will do it dreckly'' - in other words later. Some say it seems more applicable to certain building trades more than others but I won''t get involved here in that debate. Suffice to say that now is as good a time as any to pay us a visit and not to do it dreckly. We have a huge range of fresh plants down from our nursery over the last few weeks and on the whole the garden centre is looking good. The Garden Kitchen restuarant continues to provide some great food with both home grown and localy sourced produce. Whilst visiting take time to browse our great gift area with a huge range of high quality gifts and present ideas. Who knows you may even be interested in one of the Dreckly clocks that we are stocking!

News for July 15 July 2009. Now back from Hampton Court flower show where as usual our stand created a lot of interest and it was nice to meet up with customers old and new. It is also great to see customers from Cornwall there. Comments like ''We were at your garden centre last Saturday'', were not infrequent. We had a superb display designed by Graham and Nick. One of the plants that caught the eye of many customers was the Verbena rigida. A smaller form of the more common Verbena bonariensis. We are trying to get the message across that although we do a large range of exotic plants, first and foremost we are a normal garden centre so can cater for most peoples needs. Do pop in and see us if you are in the area.
