An evergreen Australian tree fern with large fronds and a black trunk, slow growing to 3m or more. Plant in moisture retentive soil in a cool shaded position out of strong winds. Larger specimens are able to stand temperatures as low as minus 10 degrees but in very cold areas protect the crown with a mulch of bracken or straw. Can be grown in a cool shaded conservatory. Young plants 9.95. Thereafter £30.00 per foot up to 6ft tall maximum. Please note we can only send out the big ones without fronds. Please note that anything over 1ft of trunk is heavy so therefore the carriage will be more on this but we can advise before dispatch.
