An evergreen fern from both islands of New Zealand that makes a stunning groundcover plant in shady areas. The dark green arching fronds reach a height of 0.5m to 1.5m tall with a spread of up to several metres wide. The new fronds turn a bronze colour before they change to deep green, forming a spreading patch of lush foliage for the jungle look garden. Should be hardy to about minus 8 degrees C.
