 Myrtus St. Hilary
A rare myrtus similar to Glanleam Gold but brighter in colour. An evergreen vigorous small tree with brown-white peeling bark and fragrant white flowers late summer. Leaves have whitish margins, which are pink tinged when young. Plant in sun/part-shade in well-drained soil. Tolerant of most winds but protect from severe coastal winds.

 Nothofagus cunninghamii
An evergreen tree from Australia that forms a conical shape with small glossy leaves that turn red in summer when young. Height up to 8-12m with a spread of 6-8m after many years. Should grow about 40cms a year. Plant in reasonably fertile well drained soil in full sun.
 
 Nothofagus fusca
An attractive evergreen foliage tree from New Zealand that can grow 5 - 10 metres tall by 3-5 metres wide but is reletively slow growing and can be pruned to a much more manageable size for larger gardens. Forms and erect narrow pyramidal tree with broad ovate or slightly crinkled leaves that turn a brownish deep bronzy red in autumn, making it highly useful as cut foliage for floral arrangements. grow in a moisture retentive but well drained soil in a sheltered sunny or partially shaded position watering well in dry weather.

 Nothofagus menziesii (New Zealand Silver Beech)
An evergreen tree from the north and south islands of New Zealand. Distinctive small green orbicular to ovate leaves with bluntly toothed margins turning a pale green colour in spring against a silvery white trunk. Slow growing to 5m tall by 3m wide. Plant in moisture retentive but not boggy soil in full sun to half shade. So far in the UK has proved hardy to about minus 8 degrees C.

 Olea europea (Olive)
Create a Mediterranean feel with your own olive tree. Slow-growing evergreen spreading tree with grey-green foliage and fragrant white flowers in late summer, followed by edible fruits-green then purple only ripening in very hot summers. Height & spread 10m. Plant in fertile well-drained soil in full sun. Protect from severe frost. Also excellent as a container plant. Very useful for courtyards and conservatories.  Olea europea Africana
This evergreen wild Olive from South Africa forms a neatly shaped rounded tree up to 8m tall after many years or can be used as a good hedging plant. The trunk is dark grey and rough with the bark sometimes peeling off in strips. The grey green foliage has sprays of lightly scented greenish white flowers in the spring followed by small fleshy purple black fruits. These are popular with the birds. Plant in very well drained soil in full sun. Withstands hard frosts.

 Olearia cheesmanii
An evergreen upright branched shrub or small tree from New Zealand. Leathery, glossy dark green leaves are lance shaped and slightly toothed with a white underside. White daisy like flowers with yellow centres cover the plant in late spring. Height up to 4m with a spread of 3m but can be trimmed to a more reasonable size if required. Grow in full sun in a well drained soil. An excellent choice for seaside gardens.

A fast growing hardy evergreen shrub from New Zealand with tough long and narrow leaves making it an ideal choice for a seaside garden, where it can either be used as a specimen plant or used as a hedge. Height 2-2.5m spread 2m. Can be pruned to size. Small white flowers with yellow centres appear in summer. Plant in well drained soil in full sun.

An evergreen shrub originating from Tresco, Isles of Scilly, with masses of white daisy like flowers in early summer and grey green foliage. Can be used to form a good low hedge in windy areas even in coastal gardens. Height 1-1.5m with a spread of 1-2m. Can be trimmed to any size. Plant in well drained soil in full sun.

This red coloured New Zealand Flax will reach about 80cms high and 60cms wide. Grow in full sun or shade in most garden soils. Leaves have a dark reddish margin and the leaves retain their colour through the year.
