This is an evergreen palm-like plant, with striking narrow, grey-green, sword-like toothed leaves. This slow growing variety has an ultimate height of 1.5-2m/4.9-6.5ft and should be planted in full sun in a very well-drained soil. As a succulent it is resistant to drought and should be able to withstand temperatures as low as -3oC. It should therefore be protected from hard frosts.
