A much sought after deep purple (almost black) perennial succulent (height 60cm/1.9ft, spread 90cm/3ft) that brings colour to the garden all year round with several stems bearing rosettes of foliage, and gold yellow flowers on mature plants in the spring . A neat, slow growing specimen for a water deficient spot or pot -it should be planted in sun or light shade in a very well drained soil, and should be protected from frost.
