A rare evergreen shrub (in the region of 3-4m/9.8-13ft high and 2-3m/6.5-9.8ft wide) from South Africa with wonderful red flowers and edible black berries. It is best grown as a conservatory plant or in very mild gardens. It should be able to withstand some frost when mature.
