A dense, evergreen shrub (height 2.5m/8.2ft, spread 3m/9.8ft). with arching branches and finely toothed, dark green leaves. In late spring, (March to April) reddish purple buds open to dark blue flowers. Suited to a warm sheltered site in well drained soil.
