Also known as ‘Californian Lilac’, attractive blue, white or pink flowers make Ceanothus an attractive, sought after shrub for a sunny, sheltered spot. They should be grown in fairly fertile, well-drained soil in full sun and be sheltered from cold winds – perhaps grown against a south/south-west facing wall. Mainly evergreen but with some deciduous varieties.
