Proteas are what we’re historically famous for! An evergreen shrub (height 1.5- 2m/4.9-6.5ft) capable of producing huge, impressive pink-crimson to cream flowers in the spring. One of the easiest Proteas to grow but requires protection from the heavier frosts of more recent winters (below -5°C). Plant in full sun in a very well drained acid soil and use our specially formulated Trevena Cross Protea Fertiliser (containing no phosphates) for the most pleasing results.
