A herbaceous perennial (height up to 1.5/4.9ft, spread of 50-90cm/3ft) with narrow green leaves and pinkish red flowers in summer, ideal for a sub-tropical look. It should be planted in a rich, fertile but well drained soil in full sun. In mild areas they can be left in the ground over winter and mulched well. In cold areas they need to be lifted for the winter or grown in containers.
