This large, eye catching, shade loving plant forms a spreading clump of huge, thick, oval leaves with a wide blue-green margins, and gold centres in summer. It produces off-white bell-shaped flowers, which appear in clusters on stems held above the leaves. It will tolerate a wide range of well-drained soils when positioned in a partially shady or fully shady spot, and prefers even moisture.
