A superb hybrid between varieties robbiae and martinii – it has luxurious dark green foliage from which burgundy-bronze shoots emerge in the spring, along with clusters of large yellow flowers (from red buds) held on spikes. A lovely compact plant that provides year round interest, colour and structure in the garden. It should be planted in a well drained soil in partial shade.
