Hydrangea DIAMANT ROUGE 'Rendia', a NEW Hydrangea, is the reddest of all Hydrangea paniculata and is exceptional for its abundant and long lasting flowers. From early July, this shrub is covered in large inflorescences (up to 30-40 cm). Its strong stems bear abundant sterile flowers with large sepals. The luxuriant panicles open white and then the “diamond” turns pink, becoming a deeper colour in full bloom.
In August the flower colour changes to a spectacular bright red with a purple-red tint, which lasts several weeks. Flower colour can vary with exposure, climate and soil type. A good, quick grower, it has a bushy, even habit of average height (up to 1.5m/4.9ft) in a sunny location.
