More commonly known as ‘Silver grass’, this variety has fantastic foliage with fresh dark green leaves that show creamy white edges in late spring. A striking plant, with broad leaves on grey stems, it can produce large pinkish-silver flowers to 2.4m (8ft) August-November if conditions are warm enough. It can make a good hedge, with lovely movement and rustle in windy conditions! It does well in most conditions, but prefers moderately fertile well drained soil in full sun.
