Native to the coastal plains of the Eastern US, this is a salt tolerant, hardy vigorous growing (3-4m height & spread) shrub with tough,’ teethy’ grey-green leaves. It displays clusters of small, white, nectar rich flower heads up to 15cms across in autumn, and if kept in trim, makes a wonderful coastal hedging plant.
Baccharis Patagonica
Unusual, tough little shrub – a real survivor, with tiny, shiny green evergreen leaves, red shoots, and fluffy off-white button type flowers. Makes an excellent seaside hedge, tolerating exposed conditions and sandy soils. Grows best in full sun.
