A fast growing, semi-evergreen shrub or climbing plant from New Zealand – one of the hardiest varieties available. It has fern like glossy leaves and deep red flowers resembling a parrot’s beak! It flowers in late winter through to early spring, and is best trained against an outside sunny wall, although it can also make an excellent conservatory plant. It will still require protection from hard frosts below around -6oC, with fleecing or similar.
