A taste of Spain lands on Trevena Cross soil

Posted on by Trevena Cross

…And we don’t just mean the lemons!… Though the citrus trees and their generous Spanish windfalls do form a small part of yesterday’s large arctic lorry delivery from Spanish climes!

Exotica, including a range of palms, olives, citrus, and other Mediterranean beauties, have always been signature staples on offer from Trevena Cross, historically known for its ‘exotic roots’, and yesterday the tradition was kept alive with a new delivery of nearly 200 root balled Trachycarpus palms, of various sizes, and a selection of other small Palms, Olives, Citrus, and Polygala.

All of the Trachcarpus are currently being potted up in the nursery, and will be brought down for sale as room permits and demand dictates. A wonderful collection, with big heavy root balls – they were a challenge to unload off the lorry, and took a lot of manpower, from both garden centre and nursery staff, but in the end are totally worth it. Real beauties!

We’ll let some snaps from yesterday do the talking as they capture both the team effort involved, and the wonderful plants/trees that landed on Trevena Cross terra firma…
