WELCOME TO THE GARDEN KITCHEN
The restaurant at Trevena Cross reopened in February 2009 as "The Garden Kitchen" and is already in possession of the CHEFS gold award.
New owner, Danielle Hockin says:
"The positive feedback we’ve received from our customers has been overwhelming. ........... We were delighted to be presented with the CHEFS gold award after only 6 weeks. From the beginning, I was determined to offer an everyday menu that shows off the best of Cornwall, plus I wanted to incorporate lots of healthy options and alternatives for customers with special dietary requirements."

Garden Kitchen Chef, Phil Hann is passionate about creating great tasting, quality food ~ with this in mind a large percentage of ingredients used in the kitchen are sourced from small scale local producers in Cornwall.
"By doing this, not only do we support and encourage the local, rural economy, but it puts the best available product on our plates."
Phil goes on to say:
"A lot of vegetables, salads and fruit used in the kitchen are grown here at the nursery and we harvest them daily, enabling us to put the freshest produce on the table....it also means less food miles!!"

Falmouth born Lee Head is the newest member of the team and his training at Jamie Oliver’s "Fifteen" in Newquay lends an Italian theme to our daily changing specials board.
"I love to cook seasonally and being able to walk up to the poly tunnels every morning and return with baskets full of fresh produce is a real plus" (Lee Head)

The Garden Kitchen serves Breakfast from 9.30 to 11.30 and lunch from 12 to 3.
Homemade cakes and hot and cold drinks are available all day.
